In order to provide a safe and secure environment for our children and youth, we believe it is necessary to include the following questions as part of our application process. All information will be kept confidential by the Kids Ministry Staff. (Police may access this information, under warrant, if requested.) Commitment

This ministry requires approximately 4 hours every Wednesday from September to the end of May. Are you able to be at youth each week?
There will also be 2 camps and potentially 5-6 events through the year, as well as personal time spent with students. Are you able to meet this requirement?
Given the public nature of this ministry, and that you will be an example to younger believers, it will require abstinence from the public use of alcohol or tobacco, and no pictures of such activities can be visible on Facebook or Twitter or other social media (we aren’t legalists, but we are an example to youth, and we will explain more in our training time together, but we want to be up front). Are you able to meet this requirement?

We want to be as up front with you as we can about the time requirements of youth ministry. We want our leaders to be present through the entire year to build and establish a great relationship with students, which involves a great deal of consistent time spent at youth and events. I will allow adults to handle check-in and check-out procedures.
I will stay in the class and actively engage children in activities as I am able.
I will participate in classroom activities and large group times (including worship) and not simply observe.
