01 Dec New Harvest App!
We have some pretty exciting news regarding the Harvest app.
If you’re new to Harvest, we’ve had an app for the past two years, and in that time, we’ve seen it become a great tool that many people in the church use for doing things like checking into services, taking sermon notes, listening to sermon audio, and being able to give online.
To do this, we partnered with a company in the US and for the most part, we were pretty happy with them. However, as some of you noticed and brought to our attention, there were some issues with the platform we’ve been using.
So, a few months ago, we decided to switch app providers and have now partnered with the same company that the Village Church and Grace to You use for their apps.
This comes with many benefits. Not only is it much more cost-effective, but it will also fix some of the common issues that people have been having with our old app.
You will no longer lose all of your sermon notes if you have to reinstall the app or get a new phone, because all of your notes will be stored in the cloud. You can access them from all of your devices.
It also has much better media controls so that if you have to stop listening to a sermon and want to catch up with it later, you don’t have to start at the beginning,. It will remember where you were and allow you to skip forward or back if you want.
Some other great features include a new and improved way for checking into service, the ability to download sermons to your device so you don’t have to use data, and you can start watching a sermon and then switch to audio and pickup where you left off.
It will also be available on more platforms, including Windows Phone, Amazon, Apple TV and Google Chromecast.
So how do I get the app?
If you already have the app on iOS you just need to update the current app and it will be replaced with the new one.
If you’re on Android or didn’t previously have the app, you’ll have to go to the Play store to download it.
We really hope that people will find this new app a huge improvement.
