In our study through the book of Romans we arrived in Romans 3:9-20, Paul’s powerful and straight forward summary of all he has been driving at since 1:18. There are a number of truths in these verses which we must accept as Divine revelation and not sit in judgment over based on our limited human reason and logic.
One key concept in these verses is the truth that ‘no one seeks for God’ (verse 11). And yet Scripture also teaches, ‘Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near’ (Isaiah 55:6). So which is true?
I wrote this paper almost 10 years ago trying to answer this question. Hope this helps in a small way in your understanding.
