28 Aug Bible Verses about Money and Possessions
As we begin our study of 2 Corinthians 8 & 9 I thought it would be good to repost a collection of Bible verses about money.
Back in 2009 I posted a list of Bible verses dealing with material things. This was a summary of verses which I had collected a few years prior to 2009. I read through the majority of the Bible trying to record any verse or passage which dealt with money or possessions.
I would encourage you to do this same exercise some time. It is enlightening and surprising how much Scripture says (and what it says) about the stuff of this world.
Perhaps the greatest surprise for me, which I still recall, is how little Scripture teaches us to store up money and possessions for a future day (the primary wisdom of our culture) and how much Scripture teaches to use our money and possessions today for God’s kingdom and glory.
